This is one of Elly's pictures, a Great Blue Heron looking for baby turtles on the beach. Along with the Galapagos Hawk, the Great Blue Heron is the top preditor on the Galapagos. If an animal is too big to swallow for these birds, it has no enemies (other humans, and introduced species like rats and cats).
Niet dezelfde als in Nederland, maar wel een mooie grote blauwe reiger.
